New

As I watch my son quickly grow - it came apparent to me that I might want to spend some time writing down thoughts and antics as my son nears his 1st birthday.

My wife and I took his pacifier away a while back so that he wouldn't be in the bad habit of having to have it as he got older. So we gave him a "blankey" instead. He loves that blankey. He carefully finds a corner, crams it into his mouth, and twists it around and around until he's made a nice nipple, and proceeds to suck it until the blanket is moist and nasty. Now he has several backups that are all similar and fill in as the other's are washed. We've found that if you put one on the floor he'll drop his head down on it and roll around on top of it like a dog on a dead squirrel. I'm sometimes wonder what age he'll be when this blankey becomes a "problem". Then I remember that I still tote my same pillow with me everywhere I go. This doesn't bode well for him.
